Post Graduate Diploma Elektrotechnik und Informationstechnik (new from Winter 2016/17)

The TUM Department Electrical and Computer Engineering created a program that supports TUM's goal of life-long learning.

The continuous developments in research and technology challenge engineers throughout their professional career. New fields and problems emerge that could not be forseen for engineers by the time they graduated. As an entrepreneur University TUM is strongly linked with both academia and industry and it's professors and lecturers are experts for these challenges. Their continuously evolving expertise is conveyed to students during their teaching, especially on Master level.

From winter 2016/16 the TUM Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering offers a Post Graduate Diploma to open these courses fr professional engineers. Through support by TUM Individual The Post Graduate Diploma is offered free of charge (regular semester fees apply).

Structure

You choose 1-2 modules from the list of Master courses for 1 semester. You create your learning agreement with the mentor of the Post Graduate Diploma on the basis of your individual qualifiaction and interests.

In contrast to the usual "Gaststudium" you can participate in exams and earn credits during the Post Graduate Diploma.. After successful completion you receive a transcript of records and a module handbook.

Requirements

  • Competed Engineering Education (Master or Diplom)
  • Application through TUMonline (1. April to 31. May for Winter, 1. October to 30. November for Summer)
  • Complete set of documents, especially

Studying

After succesful admission you set up a Learning Agreement with the mentor of the Post Graduate Diploma that contains up to 12 credits. You participate in the agreed modules and take the exam at the end of the semester. Upon successful completion you receive your Transcript of Records.
