You have the opportunity to study at partner universities in or outside of Europe. These partnerships are based on agreements specifying the number of students that can take part and the duration of their stay.
European students can take part in the ERASMUS+ program, which provides the opportunity to study in a different country and expand their social and intercultural skills with a view to improving their occupational outlook. In partnership with French elite universities, the TUM Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering offers its students the possibility to enroll in a Double Degree program. The program’s aim is to provide a limited number of select students with a supranational education. A number of the partner universities are members of the T.I.M.E. exchange program. Since July 2012, the TUM Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and the Faculty of Engineering, Architecture and Information Technology of the University of Queensland have been offering their students the chance to do a double degree. TUM students spend four semesters of their Master’s program at the University of Queensland, after which they complete the program at TUM. Places in this program are limited.
