The binding registration takes place during the introduction lecture on Friday, 16.04.2021, at 13:00 via Zoom. Personal attendance at this meeting is mandatory. Please register here for the module EI74161 "Praktikum Hochfrequenzschaltungen", if you want to attend module EI50881 "High-Frequency Circuit Lab".

Description

- Introduction to ADS or CST - Discussion on design specifications - Develop the circuit concept - Implementation and simulation with ADS or CST - Statistical Yield analysis and optimization - Fabrication and measurements of the designed circuits - Interim and final report - Oral examination

Prerequisites

Fundamentals of circuit design and RF engineering: - Transmission line theory - Smith chart - Scattering parameters - Fundamentals of microstrip lines - Knowledge in ADS or CST is a plus

Teaching and learning methods

The course is structured as a workshop (project work) with groups of two or max. three students.
