Adrian Garcea is a Ph.D. candidate working at the Institute for Media Technology at the Technische Universität München (TUM). He holds a B.Sc. degree and a Dipl-Ing. Univ. (M.Sc.) degree (2010) in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology from the Technische Universität München (TUM). After graduation (2010-2013) Adrian Garcea worked in the industry as an engineer developing cognitive algorithms for laser material processing with the focus on data and image processing.
Adrian Garcea was part of the research staff in the NAVVIS II and VIPE projects. His research focus is the localization and mapping of GPS denied environments. Currently he is working on new SLAM systems and the correction of LIDAR-based scans.
