NIM Conference on Molecular Origins of Life
The NIM Conference on Molecular Origins of Life (Origins 2016) will take place at Munich from
September 15-16 2016
at the Literaturhaus München.
It is triggered by the Origins of Life Initiative Munich (OLIM) and organized by the Cluster of Excellence "Nanosystems Initiative Munich" (NIM) which was established in 2006 by the German government's "Excellence Initiative".
The Molecular Origins conference will start a series of short, biannual conferences on experimental studies of the emergence of life. In this first round, speakers have been selected to bring together European scientists and young PIs.
The conference will include tutorial discussions and will be complemented by poster presentations. It aims to foster a broad cross-disciplinary discussions on experimental and theoretical studies of the molecular origin of life.
The conference program will start on Thursday, September 15, 2016 early in the morning and end on Friday, September 16, 2016 in the evening.
The program is structured into short talk sections which are ended with a discussion session that also allows to clarify very basic questions and act as a tutorial to get familiar with all aspects of molecular origins questions.
In the afternoon of Friday, we will have a poster session. The standard poster size is A0 (841 mm × 1189 mm) upright.
The abstract submission for poster presentations will be possible during the registration process. The deadline for poster abstracts is August 16th.
To prepare an abstract, please download the abstract template in Microsoft-Word format.
The registration fee for attendees presenting a poster will be 200 EUR.
Participants without poster do not need to register for the conference. Please follow this link to the registration form.
