TUM ranks among the EU top trioOutstanding position in THE Rankings

As of this year the Technical University of Munich (TUM) is one of the three best universities on rank 41 in the EU according to THE World University Rankings.

The universities TUM and LMU, situated in Munich, are top in Germany.

TUM is 3rd after the Swedish Karolinska Institute, which is 36th.

There are three criteria which the ranking by the British magazine Times Higher Education evaluates:

Internationally scientists and scholars of the universities are evaluated on the research and teaching qualification.

Also the details like number of publications per researcher, citations per publication, the teacher-student ratio, third-party funding from the private sector and the degree of internationalization are taken into account.

TUM has excellent results in further international rankings as well.

It is one of the best universities in the EU in the QS World University Ranking.

The Global University Employability Ranking, where companies evaluate the quality of graduates, TUM is internationally ranked no. 6.
