Objectives

After the module was completed, students are able to understand and apply the methods and technologies of descrete event systems, automation and process supervisory control. By solving close-to-application exercises, students are able to apply the methods for real-world automation systems.

Description

Modeling of control processes; automata: modeling of automation processes, languages, control design; Petri-Nets: modeling of automation processes, reachability, control design, time constraints; Markov processes in production systems; queueing theory: birth and death processes, Markov chains, modeling of automation processes.

Als Lernmethode wird zusätzlich zu den individuellen Methoden des Studierenden eine vertiefende Wissensbildung durch mehrmaliges Aufgabenrechnen in Übungen und Tutorübungen angestrebt. Als Lehrmethode wird in der Vorlesungen Frontalunterricht, in den Übungen Arbeitsunterricht (Aufgaben rechnen) gehalten.
