Since 1984, the summer academy (Ferienakademie) offers courses for Bachelor and Master students from TU München, the University of Erlangen and the University of Stuttgart. The courses take place in Sarntal, South Tyrol, Italy. To cover the participans' costs, the academy is funded by companies and supported by the participating universities.
Each course has around 15 students and 2 professors. The program consists of presentations by the participants and joint projects. Leisure time is also important, in particular the hiking tours in the surrounding mountain area are an indispensable part of each summer academy. The 2019 academy takes place from Sunday September 22 to Friday October 4. Further information can be found on the official website.
