Course work and exam formalities

The modula exam consists of a written exam. The goal of the exam is to test with questions if the general concept is understood and in calculations with this knwoledge can be applied to simple examples. The exam will be graded.

Description

Charcteristics of systems in general and social and economic impacts on the energy system in special:- the modelling concept of ceullular automota and sociodynamics - simple mathematical methods to solve differential equations - simple simulations of celluar automation.

Learning outcome

After the course the student is able to: - understand the energy system as a complex system - model complex systems qualitatively- understand the techniques of quantitative modelling, especially cellular automota and sociodynamics.

Fundamental knowledge in:

- energy systems

- basics in differential equations

- Matlab/Simulink
