Shanghai Ranking: TUM on rank 54 and top of subject rankings. One of Europes best Technical Universities

TUM ranks 54 and is best Technical university in Germany and one of only four in Europe of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University

Also the high quality of research in several areas at TUM is within top international universities.

The Shanghai Ranking shows the research of international universities.

The Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) were started by the  Shanghai Jiao Tong University.

This refers to the number of papers in top journals, citation impact of scientist, Nobel laureates and winners of the mathematical award Fields Medal.

Second in Germany, eighth  in the EU

Three other German universities are in the top 100: LMU Munich (51) Universities of Heidelberg (57) and Universit of Bonn (87).

TUM ranks eight, and is on top position within the EU.

TUM is the best technical university in Germany and, together with the University of Paris-Saclay (14), ETH Zurich (20) and Imperial College London (25), one of the four best Technical Universities in Europe.

In subject-based rankings TUM has internationally outstanding results, as in the new Department of Aerospace and Geodesy. 

TUM is also top in Medical Technology (14th worldwide) and in Environmental Science & Engineering (17th), in Agricultural Sciences (33rd) and Food Science and Technology (42nd).

TUM is one of best universities in the EU in the QS World University Ranking, and is number six internationally in the Global University Employability Ranking.
